Apple patched its most recent Operating Systems in response to the Spectre & Meltdown threats.
So iOS 11.2.2 replaced 11.2.1; OS 10.13.2 replaced 10.13.1. The most recent Safari was patched (ditto for Firefox).
But many users are running on older Operating Systems: an old iPad can’t go beyond iOS 9.3.5; an iPhone 5 can’t go beyond iOS 10.3.3; older iMacs and laptops might be using OS 10.6.8 or 10.7.5 or..., while others are almost current with OS 10.12.6.
I started with a Mac Plus in 1988 when Apple was the underdog. This current Apple company may no longer care about its loyal users who don’t have the latest hardware (and software).
Will there be patches for the older iOS and OS?
What I’m really wondering is whether Apple has lost its way (again).
